Access to the venues

To access the venues, all audience members need a valid ticket for the date and time of the performance.

 

Latecomers

Latecomers will not be admitted in the venue once the performance has begun. Tickets will not be refunded. Please check the location, time and date of your performance in advance.

 

Shows for an adult audience

Some of the shows presented in our adult series, including the community show, may appeal to teenagers. If not, the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario will post the necessary warnings.

Depending on the nature of the show, children under thirteen may be refused access to the theatre without a refund. Please check with our Box Office before purchasing your tickets. Parents can be asked to leave the theatre with their children if they bother other audience members during the show. Tickets will not be refunded.

 

Shows for young audiences

All children or groups of children who attend a performance at Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Access for people with reduced mobility and guide dogs

People with reduced mobility will receive an attentive welcome. Please indicate this when making your reservation.

The Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario participates in the Access 2 Entertainment program. If you are an Access 2 cardholder, please indicate this when purchasing your tickets so that your companion can receive his or her ticket free of charge. Simply present your card at the box office when you arrive.

Guide dogs are also welcome at the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario. Please advise our staff when purchasing your tickets.

Pricing

Measures are put in place to insure that information shared on our Web site, in our promotional tools and other forms of communications are up-to-date and correct. In case of a disparity between ticket information posted online or in print and given by Box Office staff, the latter has priority. Information shared on our Web site can be modified.

 

Special rate

You will need to show a valid piece of I.D. at the Box Off to obtain a ticket rate other than the regular one (i.e. students, seniors, etc.).

 

Accepted methods of payment

A credit card is required to buy online or by phone. Cash, credit (V & M) and debit card payments are accepted in person at the Box Office.

 

Taxes and service fees

The harmonized sales tax (HST) is included in all ticket prices.

A/Some service fee/s are added on every ticket depending on the producer’s choice.

 

Refunds and Exchanges

Tickets for Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario performances are non-refundable, except in the case of cancellation by the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario or the presenter/producer of the show.

For multiple performance shows, the client may exchange his or her ticket for another night, if availability permits, prior to the performance date. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to make the exchange.

 

Cancellation of a show

In the event of cancellation of a show or performance by the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario or by the presenter/producer of the show, the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario will refund the price of the ticket as well as the service fee charged at the time of purchase, if applicable. Refunds will be made in the same manner as at the time of purchase.

The producer reserves the right to make changes to the program.

Other

Parking

As Place des Arts does not have its own parking lot, we invite you to use the downtown parking lot. Parking fees can be paid using one’s mobile device and the HotSpot Parking app. You can also pay at the parking kiosk if you prefer. Parking is free in the evenings, after 6pm, and on weekends.

Place des Arts is located directly across from the municipal parking lot number 10 on Elgin Street. The entrance to the parking lot is located at the intersection of Elgin and Larch Streets. There are also several parking meters.

The Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario assumes no responsibility for theft, loss or damage to the vehicle or its contents, regardless of the cause.

 

Photographs and recordings

It is strictly forbidden for audience members to photograph or record performances. Breaching this rule may lead to refused access or eviction from the venue.

 

Respect of other audience members

Please think of others. Anyone who disturbs other audience members may be asked to leave the venue. Employees can refuse access to the theatre or evict an audience member without refund.

We would like to kindly remind you that the use of perfume or cologne can provoke allergic reactions. A drop of perfume is fine; no perfume is even better!

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property of the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario.

Management reserves the right to make changes to the program.
