Description
Three gleaner-harvesters gather and pile up their lives in their grain granary… or is it rather a galley galley… or is it a playground? Jasmine, Rose, and Ben live to the rhythm of rice. The rice that sings. The rice that dances. Together, they make and unmake the seasons of this small, luminous grain that feeds so many little ones, between laughter and madness. Inspired by the painting “The Gleaners” hanging on the walls of our parents and grandparents, ORYZA pays tribute to these women, backs bent in the fields, who collected the last grains after the harvests.
