Sous le voile des bûches

Sous le voile des bûches is a new addition this year: it is a show created by youth from the community.

This season, the TNO is offering French-language theater classes, led by Franco-Sudburian artist Natalie Lalonde. The community will be invited to come and discover the fruit of their work and explorations on December 19, 2026, in the Studio Desjardins.

Various workshops will be offered throughout the process: voice, movement, character development, and especially how to nurture performance instincts through spontaneity and confidence. In other words, clowning—all of this to encourage each of them to take their place on stage. The program culminates with a production of an original, newly created script, Sous le voile des bûches. We find a gang of teens gathered around a campfire where legends, ghost stories, and mysterious tales come to life. But perhaps some stories hide more than we want to believe.

This program is condensed in time but rich and voluminous in experience. Beyond the show, participants will leave with new experiences, tools for self-expression, and the feeling of having truly contributed to a collective creation.
